PALI Geldrop ceasing slaughter activities

PALI Group's own pig abattoir 'PALI Geldrop' is ceasing to operate. PALI Group is intensifying its already more than 20-year cooperation with Compaxo in the field of pigs and pork. From 1 April 2024, PALI Group's pigs will be slaughtered at Compaxo, after which some of the pork will be further processed at PALI Meat in Oss. 

Due to permit restrictions, there are insufficient opportunities for further growth at PALI Group's pig abattoir in Geldrop. However, growth is needed to further improve cost efficiency and continue to offer our customers the right market price. This intensive collaboration with Compaxo is the ideal way to achieve this. Compaxo Group and PALI Group are seeking approval from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).

Compaxo Zevenaar expanding

Compaxo Zevenaar has long held the ambition to further expand the Zevenaar division's activities. The acquisition of PALI Geldrop's slaughter activities allows Compaxo to achieve this objective and make better use of the recently completed new building. Regarding the supply of pigs, Compaxo will continue to operate as usual. Compaxo is pleased to further expand its collaboration with PALI Group.
